C198 is a short east-west connector route in south-eastern South Australia, linking the Riddoch Highway at Penola with the Victorian road network. It is essentially an extension of the Victorian route C198 (Casterton-Penola Road) which would otherwise have terminated the SA/Vic state border. The route is relatively well-signed, especially compared to other short routes near the Victorian border such as C212, C240 and B160.
Notable Events:
1998/99 - Route C198 introduced
