Length: 30km

Eastern Terminus: SA/Vic Border, 4km west of Nelson

Western Terminus: Princes Highway & Pick Ave, Mount Gambier

Route taken: Pick Ave, Nelson Rd

Continuation: C192 continues into Victoria as Portland-Nelson Road, extending to Henty Hwy at Portland

Focal Points: Mount Gambier, Nelson/Portland

Responsibility: State Government

C192 links Mount Gambier with the Victorian coastal settlement of Nelson and also an alternative route to the Princes Highway between Mount Gambier and Portland. It is an extension of a Victorian route which was introduced as part of the Statewide Route Numbering Scheme in 1998.

It is generally constructed to a two-lane rural arterial road standard.
