C848 is a 13km long spur route in north eastern Tasmania, providing access to the beautiful Bay of Fires Conservation Area near St Helens. The route serves a number of popular camping grounds along the shore of the bay before terminating at a small settlement called 'The Gardens'.

The route is fully sealed and takes in spectacular views from the hill tops and as you cross the coastal lagoons. Sealing of the last 1km of the route was completed in 2004/05.1
