C834 is an east-west route running through forested country north of the Tasman Highway (A3) between Scottsdale and Branxholm. Primarily serving the forestry industry, although there are some beautiful valleys and picnic areas along the route, it is completely unsealed although reasonably wide and in good condition. It follows Forester Rd for the most part, however it does bypass the locality of Forester to the south-west via Forester Link.

Notable Events:

2008 - Timber bridge over Great Forester River replaced by a concrete structure

Lone mini-fingerboard sign at the eastern junction of Forester Rd (C834) & Forester Link (C834), 7.5km east of Old Waterhouse Rd (C832). I have a feeling that this sign was located at the wrong junction - it should be pointing to the west at the western junction of these two roads.
