C705 is a short rural connector in northern Tasmania, running along Bonneys Lane from south-east to north-west. It links Oppenheims Rd (C704) with Moriarty Rd (C702) and Frankford Main Rd (B71) at Moriarty. Although fully sealed, the route is of low standard alignment.
Originally, C705 extended along a short section of Moriarty Rd (C702) from its current terminus to meet Frankford Main Rd (B71), creating a short duplex with C702. At some point during the 1990s, C705 was truncated at the intersection of Bonneys Ln (C705) & Moriarty Rd (C702). However, C705 signage disappeared not only from the junction with Frankford Main Rd (B71), but also he intersection of Moriarty Rd (C702) & Bonneys Ln (C705), leaving C705 signed only at its south-eastern end. Following representations from Peter Renshaw, Latrobe Council, in 2008, installed a non-standard 'blade' sign at the Moriarty Rd (C702) intersection to denote the route of C705.
