C505 is a rural route in northern Tasmania, linking the Meander Valley area near Westbury with the Liffey valley area near Bracknell. Running the length of Cluan Rd, it is fully sealed and also devoid of linemarking. Signage along the route is quite poor, the original signs having been ineffectively replaced by Meander Valley Council.

Fingerboard sign assembly at the intersection of Cluan Rd (C505) & Glenore Rd (C51), Cluan. The first photo shows a horrible setup erected by Meander Valley Council as photographed in July 2007 - the direction to Bracknell is completely ambiguous! Having been hit by an errant vehicle in August, the sign assembly was erected in a different position but with minimal improvement - again, which way is it to Bracknell?
