B72 is a 20km long north south route in northern Tasmania, linking the West Tamar area with the Meander Valley district. It serves a fertile farming district, as well as providing access to the popular fishing retreat of Brushy Lagoon near Birralee.

The route is sealed for the entire length, although the pavement is generally narrow and the alignment curving and undulating.

Despite the Bass Highway bypassing Westbury in 2001, route B72 still continues into Westbury town centre, terminating at the junction of Meander Valley Secondary Road (B54 - former Bass Highway) & William St (C501).
