NATIONAL HIGHWAY 23
Northern Terminus: Hume Hwy, 17km S Goulburn

This grade separated interchange marks the northern terminus of NH23 & Federal Hwy. It was opened to traffic in May 1972 and was the first rural grade separated interchange in NSW. However, to get from northbound Hume Hwy to southbound Federal Hwy you must use a signposted u-turn bay 1km north of the interchange. It is a good thing that this is not a common traffic movement, due to Canberra traffic using the Barton Hwy or the Sutton-Gunning Rd.
