The Glenelg Highway is an extension of the Victorian route B160 to connect with the Princes Highway near Mount Gambier. It was previously signed as an extension of Victorian State Route 112 but has been changed to route B160 to match the Victorian Statewide Route Numbering Scheme. The Glenelg Highway actually provides a shorter route between Mt Gambier and Melbourne than via the Princes Highway. Recent changes to signage mean that motorists are no longer presented with this information when approaching the junction of the two highways.

Old and new AD signs eastbound on Princes Highway approaching the junction with Glenelg Highway. The new sign eliminates all mention of Melbourne, matching the typical style of signage in the area.

Glenelg Highway looking south approximately 800m north of the Princes Highway junction. The AD sign in the above photo has since been relocated to the small hump in the middle distance, eliminating the problem with the vegetation.
