NATIONAL ROUTE 79
Photos of the Silver City Hwy between Calder Hwy and Sturt Hwy
This southernmost section of the Silver City Hwy between the Calder hwy intersection and Buronga is incorrectly signposted as National Route 79. Further to that, most of the signage is very new (i.e 2001 or newer) so I think this could be a deliberate ploy by the RTA following the re-badging of NR79 in Victoria to connect NR79 to another route. Here are some photos of the incorrect signage, as by definition NR79 indeed crosses the Abbotsford Bridge into Victoria.

Interesting kilometre plate for Wentworth. Note the 'W' is actually an upside-down 'M'. Intriguing... Photo taken January 2004. |
